Ordinations in the Diocese of the East

On February 18, 2023, the Most Rev. Peter D. Robinson, bishop of the Missionary Diocese of the East, ordained Justin Devantier and Dwayne Ricks as deacons. The Rev. Devantier serves as Assistant Curate of Holyrood Anglican Church, Smithfield, North Carolina. The Rev. Ricks serves as Assistant Minister of Paul’s Chapel Reformed Church, Lexington, North Carolina.

Appointment of a Canon

In the Missionary Diocese of the East, the Rev. Aaron Long has been appointed Canon to the Ordinary with responsibility for those congregations in communion with the UECNA-East under the provisions of Canons 16 and 35. Appointment effective as of November 9, 2021.

Ordinations in Diocese of the East

The Most Rev. Peter Robinson ordained four men at Paul’s Chapel Reformed Church in Lexington, North Carolina on August 21, 2021. Ordained as priest: James Neese. Ordained as deacons: Christian Dove, Sergio Gonzalez, Ryan Underwood (conditional). Video of the service is available from Paul’s Chapel.

Reception of church and presbyter

The Rev. Paul K. Hubbard, priest, was received into the Missionary Diocese of the East by Archbishop Peter Robinson on August 22, 2021, with the advice and consent of the Standing Committee. St. Timothy’s Anglican Church of Poquoson, Virginia was also received into the UECNA by the Convocation of the Missionary Diocese of the East.

Ordination of a deacon

The Most Rev. Peter Robinson ordained Antony Davies to the diaconate on July 11, 2021. He was assisted by the Rev. John Taylor Brantley. The new deacon will be assisting at Good Shepherd Anglican Church in Waynesboro, Virginia. (Photos by Robert Placer.)
